Mars Rover Finds New Evidence For Water

Mars Rover Finds Evidence of Ancient Water at New Hotspot

The Martian Rovers have got to be some of the best investments in scientific discovery ever. The missions were originally supposed to last 3 months in search for signatures that water had existed at some point on the barren planet. Spirit lasted 6 years and Opportunity is still going quite strong after 7 years. This new discovery of a rock with signs that hot water had existed is very exciting because of clay deposits seen from orbiters. This means the water that was here was probably much less acidic than other places on Mars and could have been a spot for microbial life to grab a foothold in the distant past. Very exciting.
