Information Principles

Quantum Theory Gets Physical

In the quest to find the simplest equations to define and understand the universe, physicists are trying to apply physical properties to the formulations that describe the universe at the microscopic level. In an effort to understand what is happening at that level, these physicists are turning to axioms about the storage and expression of bits of information. In this respect, it appears information may be the simplest and smallest thing in the universe. It's how that information is combined, copied and manifested that allows all that is to be, to be. Very interesting. Maybe that's what "strings" are in string theory. Maybe they are just the simplest form of information expressed by the universe.
