Comet's Coming
Comet Could Be a Stunner (or Not)
Astronomers have recently detected a comet that may come close to earth's orbit in March 2013. Comet C/2011 L4 was discovered in the outer reaches of the solar system and has such an irregular orbit, that this may be the only time we see it come into the inner solar system. Could be quite a show if the trajectory is right. These types of objects have never been so close to the sun so the potential for a bright, beautiful tail is certainly possible. I remember seeing Hale-Bop many years back and being amazed by it's presence and beauty in the night sky.
