1981-2011, a pretty good run for one of the most amazing vehicles ever designed by man. The shuttle Atlantis made its final landing this morning, bringing a close to the shuttle program and starting a new chapter in human space programs. There have been some tragedies, but an overwhelming amount of critical research and discovery has been made because of this program. Hats off to all those involved and many thanks from a grateful fan!
